We Wish You a Merry Peace
Sideshow Gallery presents "Merry Peace," its fourth annual holiday exhibition of artwork by more than 100 artists, from December 14, 2002 through January 14, 2003.
Gallery Director Richard Timperio pulled out the stops again this year and invited more than 100 New York artists to exhibit one piece of their current artwork in a salon-style show. Artwork by prominent artists, emerging artists and wildly fresh and talented unknown artists covers the walls of Sideshow Gallery from floor to ceiling.
Exhibiting artists include: Dan Christensen, Mary Hambleton, Bill Jensen, Cecily Kahn, Margrit Lewczuk, Chris Martin, Forrest Meyers, Larry Poons, Paul Resika, Edwin Ruda and Dan Walsh.
"The work spans multiple generations of artists," Timperio said. "The idea for this exhibition stems from the group shows held in the 1940s at the 10th Street galleries where de Kooning and others would come together and show one piece each."
